I have a dream...

...to read two children's ministry magazines all the way through, crochet a scarf, take a nap, start a new book (the shack), swoon through an antique mall, sip on a carmel frapp, play with babies, cuddle with a kitten, see the latest movie, go to a family cookout???? No, I'm not dreaming...these things really did occur.

This time of year is our only opp to get any visiting 'n vacationing in. A visit to see Shea at Lubbock was far over due. Kent's idea of relaxing and mine are two different things. He cannot sit still for long. So on Friday, while Shea was at work, he commenced trimming the trees, fixing the flapper on the toilet and catching up on a lot of news. On Saturday, while tidying our room and packing, I look out the window and see THIS. Ewwwuuuaa, picture opportunity! Two monkeys in a tree!

By the way, Gran Torino is a well how do I say...different movie! My speed is 'Bolt', a movie that I lo-o-oved. After seeing a trailer for another upcoming movie, I decided that it's one movie I know I will NOT go see. It's the remake of 'Friday the 13th'. This is the movie that ruint me!

In my childhood, I went on a vacation with a preteen friend named Sandra Massey. Her big grown up brother took us to the movie. We thought we were all big and bad, going to a rated 'R' movie without our parents' consent. It scared the bewaller out of me. I went to the bathroom and when I failed to return in a normal #1 or #2 time; then my friend came to check on me. I tried to play it cool, but she knew what my problem was and talked me into returning to the theater and putting my hands over my eyes. But, what about my ears??? I didn't have enough hands.

It was the spear-under-the-bunk-bed-through-the-chest scene that did it for me! I couldn't go to bed before first looking under my bed and even then I turned off the light and long jumped into my Raggedy Ann and Andy bedspread 'n sheets. And it would have helped had I repented to Mom and admitted guilt, but I just hid my transgression and suffered. Oh, I was punished all right! To this day, I hate scary movies! Whew~thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Mom, I'm sorry for being a bad girl!!! I even remember the first time my virgin tongue touched hot sauce from Taco Bell...there wasn't enough ice in all the world!
