As I perused the mail, I encountered a notice for jury duty. Lovely! Kent got it awhile back and smooth out spaced it! He forgot about it on accident. In order that I don't follow in his footsteps, I taped my notice onto the shelf above my desk. I want to remember! Another remembrance...this morning Kent made the statement, "I wish we had a flag." With a little bit of digging, I found one. Even though it's raining he found a way to hang it on the porch without it getting soaked. He and I put our flag out on this day, September 11th, so that we remember and never forget a sobering, memorable time in history. It's the least we could do. It's our 'duty'.

You're right! It *is* our duty. And do we have a flag out????Noooooooo! Shame on us!!
(I just love the word peruse!!)
Oh great! We made you feel guilty! It's false guilt, Miss J! You and Homes are my all time favorite ALL-AMERICAN POLITICAL PEOPLES on the planet! You two care more than most.
And, by the way, the perusing ceased when I had to gingerly and squintingly open an envelope from the SHERIFF!
Not to worry about the guilt! It didn't last long...LOL!
Love ya...
