They like my 'bonzai' trees...

Wow, I had a visit from some spunky, sweetie pie Jehovah Witness' today. Very, Very, Very interesting! I'm sure I'll be reflecting on this for daze to come. They think I'm a 'lil crazy, but what's new. This may be the beginning of a far away friendship with Miss Melissa. Exciting! Of course, I always share "My Story" with anyone who will listen and yep...they listened.

Miss Melissa shared her story with me, as well. I also met a nine-year-old named Rachel. And I cannot wait to dive into the Word with Melissa thru email and you guyz, my blogging buddies.

2 Timothy 4:2 comes to my mind in regards to my visit this morning. You know the 'be ready in season and out of season to share the gospel'. Well, these ladies were ready to share...it was their season to be witnessing. I, on the other hand, am out of my so-called season for childrens' ministry for the summer. It was my mowing season and I was about to mow with the push mower, mind you. The visit might have caught me off guard, but the Lord knew we had a divine appointment. I'm glad that the Jehovah Witnesses came by and that Miss Melissa, Rachel and the others were assigned to Oak St. in Goree, Texas.

(The Message) 2 Tim. 1-2 I can't impress this on you too strongly. God is looking over your shoulder. Christ himself is the Judge, with the final say on everyone, living and dead. He is about to break into the open with his rule, so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don't ever quit. Just keep it simple.

Tammie, you crazy? We were the ones piling out of the car to take a picture of your Bonzai trees! But the most memorable part was hearing your expressions of love for our Savior, Jesus Christ. We were so touched and encouraged. Your hospitality reflected that love and we appreciated it! Especially Rachel, who continued in her ministry by sharing her favorite passage for the week (Ephesians 5:1,2) with anyone who had the time.

Divine appointment? No doubt about it!

Much Love,
Miss Melissa

Hehe...Melissa, you're a tad bit crazy yourself!!! Romping around Knox County using some crazy, stranger lady's bathroom!

I always welcome an interruption to mowing. I'm easily distracted from the task at hand, especially that one.

I'm as excited that you called yesterday. I enjoyed swapping God Moments with you. Thanks Lord for free weekend minutes and for my new friend.
