King's Kids @ Kidmo

Yesterday at Kidmo our lesson challenged us to use the imaginations God gave us to come up with ways to encourage those around us who are hurting or having a hard time. We practiced the verse that says, 'He inhabits the praises of His people."

First we pretended that the President of the United States walked into the room and we rehearsed comments and reactions accordingly. Then, the 'real' thing happened...we sang praise songs to God and reacted as if He was standing in the middle of the room. Kids are sooo 'real'! Based on their reactions, they knew their response to God should be equal if not better than their responses to the president or even the Moguls on Friday night. We were passing out, shouting, clapping and saying 'we love you', to name a few, because He was there, really there. And King's Kids don't doubt that fact for a minute!

IF ONLY ALL OUR KIDS AND ADULTS HAD THAT KIND OF DRAMA IN THEIR LIVES.....WE HAD THAT KIND OF DRAMA AT COMMUNITY LAST NIGHT..."HE WAS THERE TOO!" KIDS ARE NEVER AT A LOSS FOR WORDS...IF ONLY WE COULD SEE THE WORLD THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD...SOMETIMES I THINK YOU HAVE THAT SPECIAL ABILITY...BLESS YOU FOR MINISTERING TO OUR CHILDREN!!!

Your post made me think of a song my Meme use to sing and that I absolutely love by the Imperials called Praise the Lord. Kinda old but it goes something like this...

When your up against a struggle that shatters all your dreams, and your hopes have been cruelly crushed by satan's manifested scheme, and you feel the urge within you to submit to earthly fears, don't let the faith your standing in seem to disappear,

Praise the Lord, he can work through those who praise him PRAISE THE LORD, for our God inhabits praise, Praise the Lord, For the chains that seem to bind you serve only to remind you they drop powerless behind you when you praise him.

Now Satan IS A LIAR! And he wants to make us think that we are paupers when he knows himself WE’RE CHILDREN OF THE KING!!!! So lift up the mighty shield of faith for the battle has been won, we know the JESUS CHRIST IS RISEN, so the works already done!!

Isn't that great!!! Such a great song. I have it on my ipod and listen/sing at the top of my lungs almost daily!

I enjoy reading your blog and thank you for the work you do with our kiddos! Kellen,Kam & Ken's Mom!
