The importance of a letter…! Last night, my wife handed me a school letter for the boy. It was long and after a few words, I discarded it for later.

This morning, I peered into the mailbox and shuffled through various envelopes. One in particular grabbed my attention. Its’ return address indicated that the sender was a business competitor. I could hardly wait to open it. The ‘block’ home from the post office seemed longer than normal. I ripped through the yard, the back door, the stack of mail and then finally the envelope. Oh…it’s long…uh, huh…yeah, mmm…what a relief, everything is fine. It’s a friendly introduction letter to get to know the new owners.

I turned and handed the letter to my wife who failed to drop her kitchen duties and instead dropped the letter on the bar. How could she not care—this is our business! How could I not care—this is our son!

VBS & my nephew...

Well, VBS by itself was out of this world. But, VBS and having the chance to minister to my nephew was out of the universe. He and his buddy stayed ALL week long and didn't get homesick. The Lord is good!

Thankfulness...

I'm so very thankful for my husband who shows my nephew a good time just as if he was his very own. Kent makes 'Glory' trips worth while. Kent's nephew says he can't wait for another trip to 'Glory'. Well Kyle, we look forward to your next visit to Goree and many more. And come to think about it, "I can't wait for my ultimate trip to GLORY someday."
